Juventus have increased their efforts to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, making the Nigerian striker their top transfer priority as the summer window opens.
After a standout loan spell at Galatasaray last season - where he scored 37 goals and led the club to the Süper Lig title - Osimhen has returned to Napoli...but his future in Italy remains highly uncertain.
Juve have revived negotiations with both Osimhen and Napoli, with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirming new contact over the weekend.
The Serie A giants have made fresh contact with Osimhen and his representatives in recent days, pushing to secure his approval for a move to Turin.
The Turin club’s management, led by sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, views Osimhen as the ideal replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who is expected to leave.
Juventus are not alone in their pursuit of Osimhen with Manchester United, Liverpool, Galatasaray, PSG and Al-Hilal remaining interested.
Juve's renewed push and Osimhen’s openness to staying in Italy have given the Bianconeri a significant boost and moved them to the head of the transfer race.
Osimhen's Transfer Release Clause
While Osimhen’s contract includes a €75 million release clause, it is only valid for foreign clubs.
Juventus, as a domestic rival, would need to negotiate a higher fee with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis with reports suggesting an offer in the region of €85 million including bonuses is being prepared.
Osimhen has already rejected a lucrative €30 million-a-year offer from Al-Hilal but he has set a deadline for Juventus to finalize a deal.
The Nigerian international has made it clear he wants to play Champions League football next season, making Juventus’ qualification for the competition a critical factor in the transfer.
Juventus must first sell Vlahovic to free up funds and a squad place for Osimhen.
