Key Storylines and Analysis

Macclesfield’s Dream Continues Macclesfield, currently competing in the sixth tier, provided the shock of the tournament by knocking out holders Crystal Palace in the third round. Their reward is a home tie at Moss Rose against another Premier League opponent, Brentford. Manager John Rooney, brother of Wayne Rooney, will be looking to orchestrate yet another historic upset on Valentine's Day weekend.

The Rosenior Homecoming One of the most emotional narratives of the round sees new Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior return to the MKM Stadium. Rosenior, who both played for and previously managed Hull City, will lead his revitalized Blues squad against the Championship side in a fixture that has already captured the imagination of both fanbases.

Premier League Heavyweights Face Varied Paths Arsenal received a favorable home draw against League One’s Wigan Athletic, a match that serves as a repeat of the 2014 FA Cup Final. Meanwhile, Manchester City could face a "Class of '92" reunion if Salford City can overcome Swindon Town in their rearranged third-round tie.

The standout all-Premier League clash features Aston Villa hosting Newcastle United, a match between two sides desperate for domestic silverware.

The Giant-Killers’ Gauntlet Grimsby Town, who famously eliminated Manchester United from the Carabao Cup earlier this season, will look to add another top-flight scalp when they host Wolves.

Similarly, Wrexham’s Hollywood story continues as they welcome Ipswich Town to the Racecourse Ground, following their dramatic penalty shootout victory over Nottingham Forest in the previous round.
